September Behind the Decks: Weddings, Events & Dance Floors

September had a bit of everything — beautiful weddings, Yo-Chi sessions and an Italian festival to round things out. Plenty of music, plenty of dancing and a fair bit of loading speakers in and out of the car. Who needs a gym membership? 😂

I kicked things off at Yo-Chi Fremantle, then headed back to Yo-Chi Karrinyup later in the month. Always a good time playing at these venues, and a big shout-out to the staff who bring just as much energy as the music. They’re never shy about having a dance between serving up the frozen yoghurt!

Wedding season was well and truly underway, with celebrations at Brookleigh Estate, Millbrook Winery, The Ritz-Carlton and a beautiful private property in Hovea. From the first dances to the final sing-alongs, each wedding had its own personality. That’s what I love about this job — getting to know the couple, finding their soundtrack and seeing it all come together on the dance floor.

A big thank you to all my couples for having me along for such an important day. And to the guests who committed wholeheartedly to the dance floor… I see you, and I appreciate you. 😂

I also got to bring a little Italian flavour to Italian Day at Stirling Square in Guildford, joining a lineup with DJ Gorgz and Mr Accordion Man. A 9 am set is a slightly different start to the usual wedding party, but it’s never too early for a few Italian favourites! 🇮🇹

To everyone who booked me, danced, sang along or came up for a chat — thank you. It’s been a big month, and I’m grateful to be doing something I love with so many good people.
